Rules
1. Entries for all Feis competitions accompanied by fees, should be sent in no later than Monday 21st
January, 2013. Fees are not returnable. The Official Entry Form Must be used. One is included
with the Syllabus and extra copies may be photocopied as needed. No entries accepted by telephone.
2. The secretary is strictly forbidden to accept entries after the closing date.
3. The number of the event, the section and name of event in the Syllabus should be clearly indicated
on each entry form.
4. A person entering for two or more events must use a separate entry form for each event but any
number of names for the same event may be put on one form.
5. All competitors paying an entry fee will be given complimentary admission for the session in which
they are competing.
6. Care must be taken to enter competitors in the correct event. No transfers will be allowed
once the programme has been printed.
7. In all cases where an age limit is specified, competitors must be within same on the 1st January,
2013.
8. No competitor other than one named in the programme may take part in any competition. No
exceptions.
9. Competitors entered in ‘confined’ competitions are taught in school and can only enter the
confined competition if they haven’t received private tuition 6 months prior to Feis entries
close.
10. In all competitions where an own choice is specified, a copy of each piece must be given to the
General Secretary as stipulated in section concerned.
11. The adjudicator may not be approached by any person other than members of the Feis Committee.
12. Adjudicators will have absolute discretion in the award of prizes.
13. In all cases of merit, the adjudicators decision will be final, and in all other cases of dispute, the
decision of the Executive Committee shall be final.
14. No public protest will be allowed at Feis sessions. Protests must be lodged in writing with the General
Secretary of the Feis within 2 weeks of Feis closing. Protest to be accompanied by a fee of £10.00
which will be refunded if protest is upheld. Any infringement of this rule will entail exclusion of those
concerned from Feis competitions for a period to be decided by the Executive Committee.
